Thai food with Hillary and Amanda

Hey there budget-challenged friends!

The lovely Hillary and I went out to dinner last week at Thai Palace (formerly Bamee Noodle) on Broadway in Lakeview. I was a little afraid when I saw the place had changed, but all that really went down was that the staff had new polo shirts and the music was hip hoppin. Which is a GREAT thing, because this place is super affordable! I had the Pad Thai with tofu and Hill had Pad See Ewe with chicken. Both our dinners cost around 9 bucks each with tip, and I even had left overs! Lunch for the next day holllaaaaaaaeeeerrrrrrr!!!

Thai food is always a great option for a cheap night out. And most restaurants are BYOB (make sure to check for corkage fees-Thai Palace doesn't have one). Looking for other good Thai places? Joy's Noodles and Thai Aroma (both in Lakeview on Broadway) are also great. Thai Aroma has an awesome lunch special for about 7 bucks with tip and you get soup, appetizer, and an entree.

We promise we'll venture further out for our next dinner...but as for now one block away from my apartment is as far as we'll get. Deal with it.

Babes Eat Out

Don't be gross.

Listen, in case you missed the memo, cooking at home is significantly cheaper than eating out on the town, but who has time for that!?

Honestly, go in, grab yr grub, get gone, you save some dough b/c you don't feel pressured to buy your "empty calorie" filled diet soda, no one debates about a dessert, and you don't have to tip as much!

Then you and your three favorite ladies trek back to your bffl's apartment, kick her roommate out of the living room and watch Divas Live. The four of you can rant about Jennifer Hudson not singing that song from dream girls and enjoy your falafel.

If it doesn't feel authentic enough, make the friend with the most recent tan (in our case, amanda) talk in a funny accent.

Boom, dinner, fun, and yet another reason to make fun of Paula Abdul.

you're welcome.
